1.4.3.4.4 Comparing CSV files.

Sometimes you will have more than one CSV file for each collection and you need to analyze them to see which one you want to use.  Now you could open both CSV and physically check or you could let Picture Checker explicitly analyze them.  Simply highlight the collection you wish to inspect the CSV of and chose the "Collection" pull down tab selecting the "Compare Collection Csv-File" option.

Do this to caompare 2 CSVs for the same collection

The program will spawn a new window, "Compare Csv-Files".  Simply browse to the locations of the CSV files you wish to compare, then hit the compare button.

After comparing, the program will spawn a new window, "Compare Csv-Files Results".   This window will relate detailed comparison information in an easy to read format.   The top fields tell how many image information rows each CSV contains.  This is an easy way to tell how many images each CSV applies too.  You will notice that the bonvarg_490.csv actually only has 390 image information rows.  The only way for me to actually know this is by physically counting the lines (a boring waste of time) or using this function.  To avoid confusion, let me point out I did this intentionally.

Compare the results in this window

You will also notice that each image filename has a corresponding "Compare Result".  Only two different results are shown in the image, but there are 4 possibilities which are self explanatory:

Entries only in first Csv-File
Entries only in second Csv-File

Identical Entries
Different Entries

Also, the number of images in these four categories are summarized in the bottom left corner of the window.  When you are done analyzing, hit okay to close the window.
